Michelle Green from Kirkwall, Running for Amnesty International
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Michelle Green, who is from Kirkwall, on her fundraising efforts for Amnesty International; notes that Michelle, who will run the London Marathon on 28 April 2019 in aid of the charity, has already raised approximately £1,000 in sponsorship and fundraising efforts, including from a parkrun in Kirkwall and a coffee morning at the Pickaquoy Centre; acknowledges that she is a member of Orkney’s Amnesty group and chose to run in aid of the organisation to highlight the importance of safeguarding human rights across the world; understands that Michelle is still welcoming donations via her JustGiving page, and wishes her the very best of luck for the marathon and her other endeavours.
