Antibiotic Resistance Research Published
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the recent publication of research by NHS Grampian in collaboration with Professor Ian Gould, Honorary Professor at the University of Aberdeen, on safe prescription of antibiotics; commends the research team on its efforts to understand how much of the lifesaving antibiotics are actually associated with resistance; supports the development of clear guidelines on the amount of antibiotics that can safely be prescribed without generating resistant superbugs, and wishes everyone involved success in their goal to put a stop to antibiotic resistance in Scotland and around the world.
