Sport Aberdeen Funding to Improve the Lives of Local Children
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Sport Aberdeen on securing two UDECIDE grants worth over £2,750 from Aberdeen City Council; acknowledges that this funding will be invested into improving the lives of children and young people in the Northfield and Torry areas of Aberdeen; understands that these grants will finance the establishment of free monthly "For Fun Run" events held within the Northfield and Sheddocksley communities; notes that these events will be for children over the age of five and their parents, guardians or carers, and wishes Sport Aberdeen every success in its vision of creating opportunities, inspiring people and changing lives through sport and physical activity.
