Permaculture Comes to Orkney
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the first Permaculture Design Course taking place in Stromness, Orkney; notes that the course, hosted by Permaculture Scotland, will consider practical solutions for providing for global needs in a sustainable way, with the intention of eliminating waste; understands that these principles are taught by designing ways to live that limit consumption, while ensuring equity of access; recognises that these lessons rest on the understanding that choices are made every day that can be adapted in order to improve lives on a wider basis; welcomes the design course and the lessons that it will bring, and wishes all participants and practitioners the best of luck in taking forward this exciting initiative.
