Galashiels Big Quiz
The motion
That the Parliament commends Lucy McAneny on organising the Big Quiz in Galashiels to raise money for Prostate Scotland; understands that a sum of £3,000 was raised for the charity and that the quiz, which was founded in memory of Lucy’s father, the former Gala RFC player and Scottish national rugby squad team manager, Duncan Paterson, who died in 2009, has now raised a total of over £40,000 during its eight years of operation; congratulates the team, The Brownlees, on winning the quiz by the narrow margin of half a point, and thanks everyone who attended the quiz for raising this generous sum.
