Shannon Leslie and Gemma Foulis Crowned Primary School Badminton Champions
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Shannon Leslie and Gemma Foulis from Orkney on being crowned doubles champions at the Scottish Schools Badminton Union National Primary Schools Championships in Perth on 4 May 2019; understands that Shannon and Gemma defeated the top seeds 21-12 in the final of the competition; recognises that this latest achievement at a national level builds on Shannon and Gemma's earlier success in March at the regional competition in Inverness, where they also emerged victorious; believes that this outstanding performance demonstrates the strength of badminton in Orkney, and wishes Shannon and Gemma continued success in their badminton careers in the future.
