Learning Disability Week 2019
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes Learning Disability Week 2019, which will take place from 13 to 19 May, facilitated by the Scottish Commission for learning Disability (SCLD); notes that the theme of this year’s week is "Community – Active, Connected, Included"; notes that it seeks to highlight the barriers that people with learning disabilities face in accessing local venues, activities and services as well as the huge contribution that they are making to their communities; welcomes the programme of activities arranged by the learning disability sector and community, particularly the Scottish Learning Disability Awards, and hopes that all of these events are a great success.
