International Nurses’ Day
The motion
That the Parliament recognises that 12 May 2019 is International Nurses’ Day, an annual event that acknowledges the important contribution that nurses and health care support workers make to health and social care in Scotland and around the world; understands that the RCN’s theme for the 2019 event is the UK’s Biggest Nursing Party, which aims to celebrate the hard work of nursing staff across the UK through workplace events involving nurses, health care support workers, patients and their families, and looks forward to many such events in Scottish hospitals and health and care facilities to demonstrate the strength of public support and appreciation for the work carried out by nursing staff.
