The motion
That the Parliament recognises that World Lupus Day 2019 takes place on 10 May 2019; supports the theme, "Let's Join Together to Fight Lupus", promoted by Lupus UK; understands that lupus is an autoimmune disease that is severe and life-changing and mainly affects women, especially black and Asian women; notes that symptoms can change and can come and go over time, making it a difficult condition to diagnose, and believes that five million people worldwide are living with lupus.
