George Rainey Awarded the Archdiocesan Medal

That the Parliament congratulates the Renton resident, George Rainey, on being awarded the Archdiocesan Medal by the Archbishop of Glasgow; consider that this is well deserved in light of George’s unfailing service as a Eucharistic Minister for the last 20 years, a role in which he has worked tirelessly and faithfully for his community with a spirit of generosity and selflessness; commends him for chauffeuring older parishioners to mass and opening and closing the church for services; appreciates George’s charity work, which he has done as a pass-keeper and member of the Society of St Vincent de Paul for 40 years; thanks him for his service, and wishes him, his wife, Kathleen, and their family all the best for the future.
