Peebles Scout Group
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Peebles Scout Group on the opening of its new meeting hall; understands that the group was founded as the Peebles Scout Troop 1911, just three years after the publication of Robert Baden-Powell’s Scouting for Boys, and that the old meeting hall had not been modernised since a heating system was installed in 1963; notes that the new hall was built at a cost of £250,000 and will serve the Peebles Scout Group for many years to come; thanks all those who made donations to the construction of the new meeting hall, and wishes the Peebles Scout Group all the best for the future.
