The motion

That the Parliament recognises the success of the Talk a Good Game event held by Kilmarnock Rugby Club and Grange Academy School of Rugby during Mental Health Awareness Week; acknowledges that the event, supported by Scottish Rugby, was organised by the local maths teacher and head of Grange Rugby, Jamie Houston, in an effort to encourage more young people to feel comfortable talking about mental health; notes that the day involved a number of workshops on addressing mental health and a series of matches played in memory of the local members, Calum King and Liam McGhee, who sadly took their own lives in 2017 and 2018; agrees that events such as this are vital in supporting the mental health of young people across the country, and thanks all the players, parents and representatives from Scottish Rugby for making the event such a success.
