Ayrshire Butcher Celebrates Deal with Asda
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Ayrshire butcher, We Hae Meat, on agreeing a deal with Asda to supply its new range of tractor-shaped beef sausage slices for children; notes that this product is We Hae Meat’s first range of healthier sausage products with added vegetable fibre, which can provide children aged five to 11 with a fifth of their recommended daily intake of fibre and more than half their recommended daily intake of protein; understands that they also contain 50% less fat and salt per 100g than other Scottish children’s sausage products; welcomes Asda’s commitment to build lasting, supportive relationships with smaller producers, and commends its shared efforts with We Hae Meat to supply products for children that are of a high quality and good nutritional value.
