Scottish Submarine Centre Shortlist Success
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Scottish Submarine Centre, which is based in Helensburgh, on being shortlisted in the Innovation of the Year category at the 2019 Museum and Heritage Awards; understands that this was as a result of its "Inside Out" project, an immersive display that uses video-mapping technology to show an impressive digitalised version of the inner workings of a submarine; recognises that the centre, the sole Scottish museum to be shortlisted in the competition, came second only to the Imperial War Museum, and wishes it further success as it continues to provide a truly immersive learning experience on the submarine service.
