Motion · S5M-17475 · 30 May 2019
New Mammography Unit for Vale of Leven Hospital
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the forthcoming new mammography unit for the Vale of Leven Hospital; understands that its installation, under NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and at a cost of £250,000, will replace the current analogue system with an entirely digital unit in order to provide clearer images with greater accuracy; notes that the new equipment, which coincides with a £300,000 investment in new x-ray equipment for the hospital, will be ready for patients in September 2019, and considers that this news emphasises the benefit that the Vale of Leven Hospital has to the surrounding community.
