Sarah MacPhail's Selection for Scotland at Netball World Cup
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Orkney netball player, Sarah MacPhail, on being selected to represent Scotland as part of the 12-player squad travelling to Liverpool in July 2019 to take part in the Netball World Cup; understands that Scotland will join 15 other teams in the tournament and will be facing Samoa, Uganda and England in the preliminary group; recognises the outstanding level of commitment and hard work that players such as Sarah have to put in to earn selection, and wishes everyone involved with the Scottish Thistles the very best of luck for a successful World Cup.
