Borders School Chess Championships
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Glendinning Terrace Primary School pupils, Aiden Falconer, Kyle Anderson, Frank Rogerson and Shane Ross, on winning the 2019 Borders Schools Chess Championships; understands that the championships, which took place at the Volunteer Hall in Galashiels, featured 24 local primary schools, with Earlston and Glendinning making it to the finals; notes that the competition was described as "outstandingly well played" and that the winning Glendinning team were awarded the trophy by the Scottish Chess International Master, Craig Pritchett; thanks the organisers and adjudicator for making the running of the competition a success, and wishes all the championship attendees the best for the future.
