Calm and Quiet Event at Elgin Jobcentre Plus
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the Calm and Quiet event at Elgin Jobcentre Plus; understands that time will be set aside to provide extra support in a calm and relaxed environment to support people with autism or learning disabilities; recognises the need to provide tailored support to disabled people looking to enter employment; acknowledges the work of the Jobcentre Plus network in providing specially trained staff and work coaches to support people with autism and learning disabilities; recognises that people will be signposted to benefits and schemes such as Access to Work, as well as disability confident employers in the local area, and commends the Jobcentre Plus staff in Elgin for organising the event.
