Clare Haggart and Elizabeth Milne, BEM Awards
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Clare Haggart and Elizabeth Milne on receiving BEM awards for their services to theatre and the arts in the north east; understands that Clare and Elizabeth are co-directors of the critically acclaimed amateur theatre company, Phoenix Theatre, in Aberdeen; notes that the theatre was established in 1990 and has since expanded to include an adult company and the Phoenix Youth Theatre, a well-established drama and dance school with classes for children aged four to 18; thanks both Clare and Elizabeth for their commitment to ensuring that the arts are widely available for all, and wishes them and the company continued success.
