First Latin Mass in Elgin Cathedral Since the Reformation
The motion
That the Parliament notes the celebration of the first Latin Mass held in Elgin Cathedral since 1560; understands that the Confraternity of St Ninian, a lay Catholic organisation, organised the Mass, which was presided over by Father Ross Crichton in the ruins of the Cathedral, and imparts its best wishes to the Roman Catholic community in Moray and the whole of Scotland for such a unique and historic occasion.
