Golden Friendships' National Lottery Community Fund Scotland Award
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Clydebank charity, Golden Friendships, on being awarded £90,000 from the National Lottery Community Fund Scotland; understands that the funding will be used to employ a full-time project coordinator to promote, plan and run a range of fully accessible activities for older people and people with learning and physical disabilities, all of whom are or have experienced social isolation and loneliness; notes that a programme of events will also be organised for disabled children and their families during school holidays, and notes that the three-year project will work with 300 people and be supported by 25 volunteers.
