Cancer Research UK Edinburgh Centre
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the award of £12 million from Cancer Research UK and the Brain Tumour Charity to Professor Steven Pollard and Professor Neil Carragher of the Cancer Research UK Edinburgh Centre; notes that, every year in Scotland, around 1,000 people are diagnosed with brain tumours, and recognises that this funding will support fundamental research and develop new treatments for glioblastoma, which is the most common type of brain tumour.
