Racing Together Community Day
The motion
That the Parliament acknowledges that 60 horseracing businesses nationwide were involved in the Racing Together Community Day on 9 May 2019, which saw then taking part in community engagement activities as a part of racing’s National Day of Volunteering and Helping Others; recognises that this has led to projects being delivered for the Midlothian North and Musselburgh area, such as a careers and employability day for students of Musselburgh Grammar School, as well as other events across the country, such as dementia and autism awareness training, community walks, outdoor renovation projects and charity and volunteering work; acknowledges that, nationally, this resulted in around 1,500 hours of work involving over 250 members of staff from Perth to Wincanton; celebrates this good work, and wishes all involved with it all the very best.
