Fraserburgh South Park Primary School Become J Rock Champions
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Fraserburgh South Park Primary School on becoming Scottish J Rock Champions; understands that the school's victory was awarded for its fantastic Halloween-themed performance, Trick or Treat? Up Witches Street!; notes that the J Rock Scottish final was held in Dundee’s Caird Hall, along with the secondary school competition, the Global Rock Challenge Scottish Final; notes that more than 1,500 pupils from 19 schools from across Scotland participated in the events and that the students were asked to create an eight-minute performance exploring a theme of their choice; acknowledges that this was a magnificent opportunity for the pupils to exercise their creativity by taking part in a major dance, drama and design spectacular; recognises the incredible dedication, effort and talent of the pupils in winning this competition; believes that both the pupils and their teachers are an asset to their community; commends them on this achievement, and looks forward to whatever inspirational performance that they come up with next.
