ENABLE Scotland Wins Demonstrating Digital Award
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates ENABLE Scotland on winning the Demonstrating Digital category at the 2019 Scottish Charity Awards for its ground-breaking assisted travel app, ENABLE Me, which helps support people with learning disabilities in becoming independent travellers; considers the app a major step forward in breaking down the barriers that can prevent such travel; understands that it has six key features, Journeys, Tasks, Personal Support, To Do, Work Log and Questions, and that each was developed in consultation with people with learning disabilities; believes that the app has already supported over 350 young people across 55 schools, and considers that it is proving to be an invaluable tool.
