Kirkcudbright Academy Youngster Gets on his Bike
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Kirkcudbright Academy pupil, Robin Alderslow, on encouraging the local community to take up cycling; praises the 13-year-old for undertaking an 18-mile round trip to school each day; welcomes the recognition of his efforts by Cycling UK, which presented him with a certificate in the Young Achiever of the Year section of its Volunteer Celebrations; thanks him for donating money made from busking to environmental charities; hopes that Robin’s efforts will encourage other youngsters, as well as the whole community, to take up cycling, and wishes him all the best with his future endeavours.
