The Isle of Bute News
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Argyll Media on the launch of the new paper, The Isle of Bute News, which will publish its first edition on 21 June 2019; notes that it will have some pages in common with the Dunoon Observer, as well as some pages devoted to exclusive news for Bute and Cowal; notes that this follows The Buteman newspaper ceasing production after 165 years; believes that the local people of Bute deserve a paper to be their voice, as well as keeping them informed, and wishes the new paper the best of luck with its launch.
