German Cooking School Honour for Greenock Bakery Student
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Ashley Gill from Greenock on being selected by the Worshipful Company of Bakers to take part in the summer programme at the German National Bakers Academy in Weinheim; understands that Ashley is a Higher National Certificate patisserie student at the City of Glasgow College, and will train at the acclaimed German academy, which specialises in European styles of baking and artisan breads, throughout July 2019; recognises that the 36-year-old has won several awards, including Student of the Year and Best in Scotland, at the Scottish Bakery Competition; notes that Ashley was nominated for the course by his college lecturer, and wishes him all the best for the future.
