Poonam Gupta Named Scottish Entrepreneur of the Year
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Poonam Gupta, chief executive of the Inverclyde-based PG Paper, on being crowned Scottish Entrepreneur of the Year 2019; recognises that the businesswoman, who received the accolade at the V&A in Dundee, was praised for her resilience and determination in building PG Paper into a £36 million turnover company; recognises that Poonam's firm now exports to 55 countries and will this year add offices in the Unites States and China to its bases in India and Turkey, and wishes her well as she will now go forward to compete in the EY Entrepreneur of the Year UK final, which takes place in London in November.
