Almond Mains Initiative Receives Corra Foundation Funding

That the Parliament congratulates Almond Mains Initiative, which is based in the Edinburgh Western constituency, on being awarded £5,000 from the Corra Foundation’s Henry Duncan Grants; applauds the work of Almond Mains Initiative, which runs lunch clubs and day services catering for older people over 65 who have difficulty with mobility, frailty or a disability or health condition that limits access to social opportunities; understands that the money will go towards activities, administration and hall hire of the day care service that the charity provides for older people; pays tribute to the work of volunteers in tackling social isolation and loneliness, and hopes that this funding will enable the organisation to continue its tremendous work throughout the community.
