West Lothian College, Attracting Men into the Early Years Sector
The motion
That the Parliament commends West Lothian College for its comprehensive approach to attracting boys and men into careers in the early years sector; welcomes the short film about such careers that was produced by the college in its outdoor forest classroom; notes that this features male school pupils, childhood practice students, lecturers and teachers; understands that one of the college’s students, Stephen Burns, received national media coverage during a Scottish Funding Council campaign on Father’s Day, and congratulates the lecturer, Graeme Mair, on receiving a staff excellence award for his role in this innovative project.
