West Lothian College Awarded LGBT Charter
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates West Lothian College on being awarded the LGBT Charter of Rights at Silver level; notes that the charter describes basic rights, such as the right to be yourself, the right to privacy, the right to be kept safe from harm and the right to an education; understands that, in being recognised at this level, LGBT Youth Scotland has acknowledged that the college takes LGBT equality seriously and that it has made significant progress in ensuring that diversity is welcomed and discrimination challenged, and commends the college's staff and its student association on their hard work, passion and commitment, which has led to this award.
