Hermitage Academy Wins the John Stuart Mill Cup

The motion

That the Parliament acknowledges the John Stuart Mill Cup, which is organised by the Centre for Ethics, Philosophy and Public Affairs at the Department of Philosophy at the University of St Andrews; understands that it involves high schools from across Scotland debating ethical issues of public concern; notes that this year’s competition was held on 6 June 2019 at the University of St Andrews; congratulates the team from Hermitage Academy, Helensburgh, on its outstanding performance in winning the competition; recognises that the team included the local MSYP, Rosie Sumison, and commends all the high schools that took part in the competition to promote interest in philosophy among secondary school students.
