Fiona Boyd Book Launch
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Peeblesshire author, Fiona Boyd, on publishing her first book, Princess Arebeena and the Crystal Fairies; notes that the book launch was held at Traquair House, where Fiona used to work before entering into academia; understands that she began writing and illustrating as a form of therapy for her multiple sclerosis (MS) condition and that this therapy led to the creation of her book; acknowledges that a percentage of the profits from the sale of the book will be given to the MS charity, Kiss Goodbye to MS Global; thanks Fiona for her generous charitable donation, and wishes her every success with her book.
