Ellon Academy Wins the Blue Toon Trophy
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the pupils of Ellon Academy on winning the Blue Toon Trophy at Peterhead Sailing Club; understands that the club launched the Aberdeenshire and City Schools Regatta in 2013, in collaboration with the Aberdeenshire Sailing Trust, to encourage local school groups to participate in sailing as a way to keep fit and have fun; notes that 2019’s competition attracted 18 entries from across the region, and hopes that this event and others like it will continue to get young people involved with sailing in the years ahead.
