Award for Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) on winning the People’s Choice Award at the recent Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) Awards ceremony; understands that the awards celebrate the amazing work that people within charities and community groups do every day, all over the country, to help those in need and raise awareness of important causes; notes that the SCAA saves lives and is the country’s only charity-funded air ambulance; understands that, every day, the team is able to fly expert paramedic care straight to the scene of serious illness or injury, and fly patients on to hospital; recognises that hundreds of patients, of all ages, have been attended to by the SCAA, and that, in the last year alone, the dedicated crew has responded to 325 emergencies, and sends all concerned its very best wishes with their future endeavours.
