Alloa Bowling Club Team to Abseil for Strathcarron Hospice

The motion

That the Parliament wishes members of Patons and Baldwins Bowling Club in Alloa the best of luck in abseiling 165 ft from the Forth Road Bridge to help raise funds for Strathcarron Hospice, which it believes needs £13,000 per day to keep running; understands that, while sponsorship money has still to be added, the group, named "Team Legs 11", has raised close to £3,000, which has already exceeded its fundraising target of £2,500; notes that much of this money came from a bingo tea, race night and other donations; acknowledges that one of the group, Treana Dewar, initiated the idea along with her friend, Gillian Dick, after the hospice cared for her late mother; commends the team members on their courage, and congratulates them on this inspiring initiative.
