Big Lottery Fund Cash Boost for Parent Network Scotland
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Parent Network Scotland (PNS) on receiving £9,700 from the Big Lottery Fund; notes the group will use the funding to deliver Adverse Childhood Experiences recovery toolkit training to parents who find parenting challenging due to their own childhood trauma; understands that PNS is a national parent-led organisation based in Glasgow, but which works across many local authorities in Scotland; understands that it believes in peer to peer support and that parents themselves have the solutions to many of the challenges they face, with the support and encouragement of trained parent facilitators and other parents, and notes that PNS believes that parents matter because children matter.
