Opening of Jak’s Den Mark 2
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the recent opening by the Team Jak Foundation of Jak’s Den Mark 2 at Ochil House in Livingston; is aware that the new facility supports children and young people with cancer and their families and builds on the original Jak’s Den by being bigger and providing more space for counselling for children and their families, music therapy and creative activities, along with bespoke support groups and drop-in sessions; considers that Jak’s Den Mark 2 is a very valuable resource for many children and their families; pays tribute to the Chief Executive and CoFounder of Team Jack, Allison Barr, for her outstanding work and fundraising efforts, as well as all those involved in, or who have donated to, the Team Jak Foundation, and hopes that Jak’s Den Mark 2 will continue to provide much-needed and high-quality support to young people with cancer and their families for many years to come.
