Elphinstone Institute Funds Home Projects
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the initiative of a year-long programme of workshops run by the North Aberdeenshire Local Action Group aimed to build a sense of community in north east towns for people new to the area; understands that the Elphinstone Institute at the University of Aberdeen has secured £150,000 for its new Home project; notes that the project will run events such as international community cafes, theatre workshops, storytelling, music, song, dance and craft, and looks forward to building community spirit through these free workshops and a strengthened understanding of what it means to live in the north east.
