Girvan Youth Trust Secures Young Start Funding
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Girvan Youth Trust, which has received £66,000 from the Young Start programme; understands that this will allow the group to continue to deliver social, recreational and employability services for disabled children and young people with additional support needs, benefitting 170 young people and family members; notes that Young Start, which is delivered by the National Lottery Community Fund, awards monies from dormant bank accounts to help children and young people aged between eight and 24 thrive and realise their potential with grants from £10,000 to £100,000 for activities that focus on changing their lives; commends the group for their efforts, and wishes them continued success.
