James Hutton Institute Launches the International Society for Molecular Plant-Microbe Interactions World Congress

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the efforts of the James Hutton Institute in organising the International Society for Molecular Plant-Microbe Interactions World Congress in Scotland; understands that more than 1,400 plant scientists from 52 countries will attend to discuss global population growth, pests and diseases, climate change and increasing resistance to pesticides; notes that communication between researchers is vital to uncovering and learning from molecular developments which occur between plants and the pests and parasites that infect them, and looks forward to reading their conclusions.
