EDICT, Kirkintilloch
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates EDICT, which is in Kirkintilloch, on being awarded £126,319 by the National Lottery Community Fund; notes that this will be used to relocate its hub for children and young people with autism to Bishopbriggs and to expand and develop the range of opportunities, activities and support that it offers; acknowledges that the hub will provide a space for its service users to make their own and offer them a safe environment to learn and be themselves; notes that EDICT also provides support to people with mental health issues, older people and people with early stage Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia; believes that the services that its staff provides are vital, and wishes them well and continued success in their endeavours.
