Gorebridge Gala Day Committee
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Gorebridge Gala Day Committee on receiving £1,000 of funding as part of the annual CALA Homes Bursary; understands that the committee organises both the Gala Day and a week-long programme of events, which includes five-a-side football competitions and bingo nights for older people; notes that the money will be used to expand the Gala to meet the needs of the rapidly-growing village and will subsidise activities such as children’s discos and fancy dress events; thanks CALA Homes for its donation, and wishes the committee all the best.
