Retirement of Helen Mellis
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Helen Mellis, who is from Elgin, on her retirement following 43 years of working for the NHS; recognises that Helen started aged 17 and had been at Dr Gray’s Hospital since September 1984; understands that, on her final day, pipe bands played her in to the hospital and that her colleagues marked the occasion with a tea party, speeches and a black tie event in her honour; thanks Helen for her dedication to the NHS, and wishes her a happy and well-deserved retirement.
