The motion

That the Parliament applauds Tillicoultry, Coalsnaughton and Devonside Community Council on its securing of an automated external defibrillator (AED) for the village of Coalsnaughton; believes this, the second such device put up by the organisation designed to save lives, has been installed for public access, with training to follow during August 2019; notes the unit is located on the walls of Premier Express on Main Street, Coalsnaughton, and can be used if a person has a cardiac arrest emergency nearby; further notes that emergency services can direct the public to the device's location and provide a code to access it; understands that the AED was made possible thanks to funding from the EDF Burnfoot Hill Community Fund; sends its thanks to the shop owners for hosting it, and acknowledges that anybody looking to learn how to administer CPR and use the defibrillator, or those hoping to freshen their existing knowledge, can get training at Centenary Hall as part of Tillicoultry Community Week.
