Celebrate Aberdeen 2019
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the recent Celebrate Aberdeen 2019 weekend; understands that it kicked off with the Union Street Mile race and included a third sector parade and live music and entertainment in five venues across the city; believes that events such as the Celebrate Aberdeen weekend are vital for getting people involved in the best the city has to offer as well as boosting civic pride; notes that the first such event took place in 2011 and that it has involved tens of thousands of participants congratulates all of the organisers and participants over the years, and looks forward to another successful event in 2020.
