City of Glasgow College and Forth Valley College WorldSkills Kazan 2019

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the City of Glasgow College Wall and Floor Tiling student, Mark Scott, and Painting and Decorating student, Callum Bonnar, who is from Forth Valley College, on winning prestigious medallions of excellence at the recent WorldSkills Kazan 2019; applauds the determination and commitment that these students have shown in achieving this level of global excellence; congratulates all 37 members of Team UK on their impressive medal haul, which included one gold, one silver, one bronze and 15 medallions of excellence; appreciates the hard work and leadership of Paul Little, Principal and CEO of City of Glasgow College and Lead Ambassador for WorldSkills in Scotland, for continuing to champion the WorldSkills competition; understands that WorldSkills is widely known as the Olympic Games of skills; appreciates the effort that it takes to compete and be supported at such a high level, and expresses its admiration for the continued promotion of skills across the Scottish further and higher education sectors.
