Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow Glows Green
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the UK’s largest hospital, the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, on glowing green until the night of 8 September 2019 in support of Organ Donor Week; notes that, by lighting up the hospital, it is hoped that it will help raise awareness and get people across Greater Glasgow and Clyde thinking about organ donation; acknowledges that the week is also encouraging people to record their organ donation decision on the NHS Organ Donor Register and to let their family know about their decision, and considers that this very visual statement highlights the part that the hospital can play in putting across the message about organ donation and help people focus on the lives that can be saved as a result of this.
