The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Laura Rennie, founder and Director of Arena HR, based in Kilmarnock, on reaching the finals of the NatWest/Royal Bank of Scotland Great British Entrepreneur Awards 2019; understands that Arena HR was created in early 2016 by Laura who decided to start her own business after working in corporate HR for 20 years; notes that, since the business was accepted into and graduated from the Entrepreneurial Spark Accelerator programme, it has built a strong client base from across the public and private sector and tripled its staff numbers in the last two years and become a profitable business; further notes that Laura won the Ayrshire Business Woman of the Year Award earlier this year, was presented with a Highly Commended Award in the Professional Services to Business category at the Scottish Women’s Awards 2019 and has been nominated for the Great British Entrepreneur Awards in the Small Business Entrepreneur of the Year category for the third year running; commends Laura for her hard work building her business, and wishes her continued success.
